TD Bank Head of AI and Machine Learning Sumee Seetharaman to speak at FinAi Banking Summit
Sumee Seetharaman, head of AI and machine learning at TD Bank, will speak Tuesday, March 3, at the inaugural FinAi Banking Summit.
The summit, which will be held at the Westin Denver Downtown on March 2-3, brings together executives, technologists and decision-makers across the FinAi ecosystem.

Seetharaman leads the analytics strategy for TD’s AI and machine learning division tasked with develping and deploying AI/ML products within the bank and for consumers. Before joining TD in 2014, Seetharaman worked at Thomas Reuters and Microsoft.
She will discuss how global financial institutions are deploying AI at scale with fellow panelists:
- Matthew McCown, executive director of the data and analytics team at J.P. Morgan Payments;
- Henry Pezzo, sales director at Omilia;
- Prageeth Sandakalum, former vice president and principal product manager at U.S. Bank; and
- Moderator Chris O’Hara, principal of banking technology and engineering at PwC.
Discussion topics will include:
- Case studies from leading FIs;
- Building enterprise-wide AI frameworks and managing change; and
- Aligning technology with business strategy
TD Chief Analytics and AI Officer Luke Gee told FinAi News in January 2025 the bank is deploying AI for software development and customer assistance.
Last year, the bank deployed its AI-driven platform TD AI Prism to predict consumer needs and proactively provide them with solutions, Seetharaman previously told FinAi News.
