Capital One’s Evan Baker to speak at FinAi Lending Summit
Evan Baker, business chief risk officer for financial services at Capital One, will speak at FinAi Lending Summit on Thursday, Oct. 8.
The summit, set for Oct. 7-8 at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, will bring together executives, technology experts and decision-makers across the FinAi lending ecosystem.

Since joining Capital One in 2015, he has spent most of his time in the bank’s auto finance business.
During the panel “Deploying AI for anomaly and complex pattern detection in loan fraud” at 1:15 p.m. local time, Baker will discuss innovations in real-time risk scoring, reducing false positives and how AI is improving fraud prevention.
He will be joined by Carlos Coto, chief strategy and innovation officer at Customers Bank.
Capital One invests in and prioritizes its technology efforts through modern data platforms, patent innovation and agentic and generative AI tools. The $682.9 billion bank will report second quarter earnings on July 21.
